Tremiti Islands

In front of the green region of Gargano  there is a tiny paradise surrounded by the blue sea: the Tremiti  islands that contain a compact impressive microcosm made of three islands - San Nicola, San Domino and Capraia - and together with some amazing reefs and rocks, they constitute a Marine Reserve name National Park of Gargano, a real wonder of nature.

Caves, gorges, and sea fans - all relics of a distant past when these parts were crossed by trade routes, they represent the best that can be offered to those who love exploring under the sea. 

The Island of San Domino is the biggest, featuring rugged coastlines and wondrous grottoes, like those of Viole, Sole and Bue Marino (The Caves of the Violets, the Caves of the Sun and the Caves of the Sea Calf). 
Evocative sunsets can be seen from the Island of San Nicola where, at sunset, a soft rosy color paints the whole panorama. If you like to take pictures, then you will be able to capture very remarkable images. 

The Tremiti Islands are an inexhaustible surprise that nature gives us and they represent the perfect place for all those who want to experience a holiday full of nature, art and history thanks to the fascinating mythological stories concerning them. The most exciting scenes can be enjoyed 360° only on a boat because there aren’t other ways to reach Tremiti Islands and to visit the nice cliffs, the wonderful caves and the different wild bays of the area. 

The boat ride allows you to forge a tangible contact with the surrounding nature, stopping in the most 'beautiful bays full of fun relaxation deepening the curiosities of the mysterious seabed belong to the Protected Marine Reserve. In fact the transparency of the sea alllows also even those less experienced to dive and snorkel among the rocks for a fascinating marine walk just to be fitted with suitable equipment.
Thanks to the variety of flora and fauna behind the sea level they are considered a lovely destination for divers who appreciate the different richness and beauty of their seabeds and colors.

Bays and caves

Particularly striking is the tour of the island by boat. Cala Arenas is the only real beach of the archipelago. A rock separates it from another bay and takes its name from the Neapolitan dialect "A 'cove a fiemmina" a place protected from prying eyes. Wide rift in antrum, is the entrance to the Cave of the violets. Its large flooded interior, with the dome, uncovered, on high sides is full of lush green Aleppo pines. The cave is named for the violets, flowers that bloom in spring on the inner walls of the reservoir.

This cave is named after the monk seals, which passage you were standing here. The Architiello San Domino. Cala Tramontana, the island's largest bay. I Pagliai, gigantic rocks that the force of the sea has isolated from the coast.
